Learning to love the English Language

My son enrolled in her class when my then tutor decided to retire. I was in desperation as my son will be sitting his PSLE the following year. Mrs Shalni took him under her wings and not only did she accommodate her timing and sacrificed her weekends, she was so ever patient and encouraging in tutoring him. She was able to identify the root/ weakness to quickly assist and focus on delivering results. My son had improved by couple of grades and he was very happy with his results to continue with Mrs Shalni as he sat for his National exam this year. While result is crucial, I am grateful to have known Mrs Shalni and have her as my son’s tutor for 5 years. Her passion for English and care for her students attributed to the intangible character building apart from the score of the paper. Kudos to Mrs Shalni and thank you very much for all that you have taught/ encouraged/ accommodated my son. God Bless.

Ms Shalni is a wonderful tutor. We chose Ms Shalni as we like that she has a Small class ratio of 4 students per class. Throughout the 2-3 years with Ms Sha, she has understand my child weakness & strength & will always maintains 2 way feedback on how to help my child to improve in every aspects, oral , compo & grammer usage. She makes learning english fun for the kids. Very resourceful in her materials. Although its a group lesson, she will reschedule her classes to fit every child’s exam time-table during exam periods to spend more time to help everyone of them. In covid times she switch to zoom learning readily to avoid disruptions to our child continuous learning, especially being PSLE year. Her commitment to teaching is admirable. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a dedicated English Tutor for your child.

Shalni is a fantastic teacher. My kids attend her weekly classes and have shown a marked improvement and genuine interest in learning. The personal interest that Shalni takes in her students’ progress is exceptional. She gives guidance and motivation while working on their individual goals and strengths and provides the right mix of discipline, motivation and rigour in the weekly classes. They love going to her classes and seem to have fun too.

I am very happy ! Simply English and Ms Shalni came highly recommended from a friend and thus far the experience has been very good. The dedication and interest in seeing the kids improve is strong and my twins are loving the classes. My twins feel they have learnt a lot more than they would have in their other tuition classes, plus Ms. Shalni does not take any nonsense from them and makes sure they push their limits. I highly recommend Simply English for Primary and Secondary students. My son is very motivated for his English lessons and has improved tremendously over the years. And most important to me is that he enjoys his lessons and always looks forward to them. I feel that Shalini’s balance of kindness, firmness and ability to understand her students builds a bond between her and her students and aspires them to work towards their goal.
