Coming from a family of educators, Jeannette developed a passion for teaching, earning a post Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary) in 1992 with specializations in English and Mathematics. At Tampines Primary School, she quickly advanced to leadership roles, briefly heading the English Department before helming the Science Department for five years. After 15 years, she resigned due to family commitments but started tutoring at home driven by her need for intellectual engagement.
In 2009, she founded Fun-da-mentals Learning Centre, focusing on Primary School subjects. By 2014, she had expanded to include Secondary Mathematics and Sciences to support her graduating students. In 2019, her innovative spirit led her to create Fun-da-Lab, offering enrichment through science experiments and workshops.
In 2022, she graduated from the ACC Institute of Human Services with a Specialist Diploma in Teaching and Supporting Children with Special Needs, enhancing her expertise while drawing on her experience as a mother of two with academic challenges. Later, she earned an Advanced Certificate in Generative AI, Ethics and Data Protection, from the SMU Academy, reinforcing her philosophy of lifelong learning. Her initiatives reflect a commitment to holistic education, nurturing students’ academic and broader talents.
